Jen, you’re an idiot!

Jennifer Lawrence got the shits because she was paid less than her male cohorts in American Hustle.

A table gets turned over every time an economist hears the term “gender wage gap”

WTF has that got to do with gender? It’s because you’re a shit negotiator. It’s because you’re younger, more inexperienced and maybe too nice, eager to please, innocent or any other adjective you want to describe the situation. A male A-lister could equally find themselves in that same position, and I’m sure it’s happened. Movie studios (read: employers) will use anything they can to maximise their profits and give as little away as possible. It’s not because you’re a woman. If YOU had of *demanded* more, you probably would have got it!

I wasn’t going to read the essay because frankly I’m over this type of discussion, but since I’m attacking Jen on her ideaology on this, I had to.

“When the Sony hack happened and I found out how much less I was being paid than the lucky people with dicks…”
Are you Serious? “Lucky people with dicks?”

Should I start talking about the extra benefits that having a vagina over the said “lucky dicks” get simply by virtue of not having it?

Jen, you are loved by millions, but your youth and inexperience have let you down both in negotiations and real life experiences.

There is no “wage gap”, certainly not based on gender and certainly not in this modern day and age.

There is an intelligence gap, but that’s also not gender based. In fact, not too much is based on gender (and I’ll even include race), except affirmative action.

Affirmative action is legalised racial and sexual discrimination of the worst kind. Because not only do people who ARE qualified NOT get the job, but less experienced, less “worthy” people DO get the job.
